LSE is proud to partner with the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to offer the LSE-CSC Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship supports outstanding students from China in pursuing their research degree at LSE. 

Funding Details

LSE is pleased to offer up to eight scholarships each academic year. These scholarships are tenable for up to four years and recipients must be enrolled in a full time study mode. 

The LSE-CSC Scholarship covers:

• Full tuition fees.

• An annual stipend of £1,350 per month.

• Overseas health insurance.

• A round-trip economy class airfare between China and the UK.

• Reimbursement of a one-time visa application fee.

Eligibility

• Candidates must be citizens of the People's Republic of China. Overseas Chinese students may be eligible for application subject to CSC policy at the time.

• Candidates must hold an unconditional offer of admission to an MPhil/PhD programme.

• Candidates should satisfy other application criteria set out by CSC.

• Successful candidates agree to return to China upon completion of your research degree at LSE.
